The Erly, a Disco quartet hailing from Michigan, has just released their latest single “Flame The Main”. This is the fourth single to be unveiled from their upcoming album, Culture Fever, which is set to be released on November 3, 2023. Fans can expect the music video for “Flame The Main” to be revealed in the next few months after the song’s release.

“Flame The Main” has a gritty sound that transports listeners to a dive bar that doesn’t close until dawn. It exudes a smoky aroma and has a flavor akin to a shot of bourbon followed by a lager. It echoes the sound of a vintage Cadillac cruising down the main street at 4am. The song has the musical essence of a riverboat casino and captures the energy of shady characters holding onto their questionable aspirations and vices. The band wrote “Flame The Main” about a person who finds themselves in the midst of chaotic situations that lead to self-destructive behavior. The song explores themes such as avoiding important issues, drug and alcohol abuse, chasing unattainable dreams, and insecurity.

To effectively convey their message, The Erly infused the single with loads of attitude. The drums have a slight swing, the guitar reverberates in the heat, and the organ roars. The vocals are raspy yet sultry, while the horns blast in your face. Overall, “Flame The Main” is an explosive rock track that will leave listeners craving more.

“From horns and intertwined keyboards to auxiliary percussion and strong lead vocals, this is the most layered track we have created to date. The heart of this single is a live band sound, strategically enhanced by nuanced bells and whistles of the recording process.” – The Erly, Disco Band.

The song “Flame The Main” features Fran Gleason, the drummer of Erly, on vocals. The title of the song was inspired by a phrase commonly used by Gleason’s family in Bradford, PA during the 1970s. The phrase referred to cruising down main street. The track was produced by Nick Rapley and includes a horn section, various key changes, and distinctive percussion elements like a bottle of Snoop Dogg’s wine.

“Flame The Main” is a main character song, transporting listeners to Los Angeles in the 70s – the era of hot rods and radio classics. The chorus beckons a cruise down a main drag preferably at sunset or the dead of night.” – The Erly, Disco Band.
