Surrealist Artist Chloe Chen Exhibited Her Latest Artwork at ComplexCon Hong Kong 2024

Chinese artist Chloe Chen unveiled her latest artwork at ComplexCon Hong Kong 2024, a premier international trend event held from March 22 to 24. Supported by the Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund from the Hong Kong SAR Government, ComplexCon aimed to foster cultural exchange among the Greater Bay Area, Asia, and the world. Drawing upon Hong Kong’s cultural diversity, the event brought together influential artists, creators, and trendsetters for a dynamic celebration of creativity.

Chloe Chen, an emerging talent in the Chinese art scene, showcased her newest pieces at the exposition. Since establishing her own art studio, ACCRO STUDIO, in 2023, Chen has been dedicated to pushing artistic boundaries. Her sculptures, presented in collaboration with ACCRO STUDIO, reflected Chen’s distinct artistic perspective and innovative spirit.

Titled ‘Nightmare’, Chen’s debut exhibition at ComplexCon explored the depths of human consciousness through striking visual imagery. For Chen, art serves as a boundless realm of dreams, heightening sensory experiences. Drawing inspiration from both Chinese and Western cultural motifs, Chen blurred the lines between surrealism and reality, inviting viewers into a world where ordinary elements transform into extraordinary narratives. Through her juxtaposition of traditional and contemporary themes, Chen offered a compelling exploration of creativity within the realms of dreams and reality.

At ComplexCon, Chen showcased over 20 illustrations and 8 sculptures, captivating audiences from around the world. Notably, her artworks have garnered attention at prestigious events such as the ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair and the ART AMOY Expo. Among her standout pieces was “Nightmare Robot,” a sculptural marvel that captivated audiences with its intricate craftsmanship. Chen also introduced her latest sculptures, including “Fantasy Plastic Bag” and “My Best Friend,” which were available for pre-sale to art enthusiasts.

Additionally, Chen’s first limited edition art toy, “School Girl,” was featured at ComplexCon, curated by the exclusive lifestyle platform Little Red Book. Positioned within the “2124 Little Red Book Trends Club” booth, “School Girl” charmed visitors with its unique character and artistic flair, offering a glimpse into Chen’s creative universe.

Chloe Chen’s participation in ComplexCon Hong Kong underscores the city’s role as a global nexus for pop culture and artistic collaboration. Her presence signifies a significant milestone in her artistic journey and highlights the cultural impact of young Chinese artists on the international stage.
