From the Bay Area to Southern California, a growing number of car owners are turning to Panda Hub, a mobile-first detailing platform that’s quickly gaining traction across the Golden State.
Often described as the “Uber for car detailing,” Panda Hub allows users to book trusted local professionals directly through an app, often in under two minutes. What began as a small, self-run operation in Canada during the pandemic has now grown into one of North America’s fastest-scaling auto care platforms. And in California, its expansion marks a major step forward in meeting the car care needs of time-strapped drivers.
The platform is now fully operational in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, San Diego, and several other cities.
“For many car owners, booking a detailing service still feels like a hassle,” says Reza Ahmadi, co-founder of Panda Hub. “Our goal is to make it as easy as ordering food or getting a ride, but with certified local professionals who take pride in their work.”
That combination of mobile convenience and local expertise has struck a chord with California residents, especially in high-density cities where parking conditions, long commutes, and unpredictable weather can quickly wear down a vehicle’s appearance. With Panda Hub, customers can schedule detailing at their home, office, or wherever the car is parked. No need to visit a shop or wait in line!
The services start at around $60, with flexible package options based on the customer’s needs and the detailer’s availability. Every detailer on the platform is vetted and reviewed, and the company reports a growing base of repeat users who appreciate both the quality and the ease of the process.
Panda Hub’s story began in 2020, when Ahmadi and co-founder Abdullah Sharief noticed how outdated the experience of car detailing services had become, even as mobile-first solutions were transforming other industries. Instead of starting with a team of developers, the two founders got hands-on, detailing vehicles themselves to understand the pain points from both sides.
That approach paid off. After scaling quickly in Canada, they brought the model to U.S. cities in late 2023. Since then, Panda Hub has completed over 50,000 bookings across North America and onboarded more than 1,000 detailers into its network.
California is now one of the company’s fastest-growing markets, with local professionals using the app to fill their schedules without spending time on marketing, advertising, or customer outreach.
Customer reviews across platforms have also been overwhelmingly positive, with users praising the professionalism of the detailers, the simplicity of booking, and the overall convenience.
“We’re not just connecting people with services,” says Ahmadi. “We’re creating a better way for busy people to care for their cars, and giving skilled professionals a platform that works for them.”
As demand grows for tech-enabled local services, Panda Hub’s expansion in California signals a shift in how traditional car care is being reimagined.
