Pushing the Boundaries of Content Creation With Youtuber Alex Ketchum

Published on April 28, 2020

The key to success in the social media industry is the ability to stand out from the crowd. In a time where every social media platform is being constantly fed with an endless stream of content, influencers must do whatever they can to establish themselves as being different. Canadian Youtuber Alex Ketchum has done just this, by building his brand on pushing the boundaries of content creation.

In his video, Fixing My Wall With Ramen Noodles, Alex Ketchum took the trend of fixing things with ramen noodles to a level no one expected. The trend originated from a TikTok video of a man using ramen noodles and super glue to fix a broken sink. Many tested this technique by using it to fix things like cracked plates or bowls, but Alex took the next step and smashed a hole in his wall to see if he could use ramen noodles to fix it. The video was a success and it quickly gained attention from multiple global publications such as LadBible and VT, who jumped on the opportunity to share his video with their audiences that surpass 50 million.

Alex Ketchum is a master of going as far as he can to create unique content. In his video, I Bought a Pet Lobster and Released Him Back to the Ocean, Alex drives 14 hours across Canada to release a grocery store lobster back to the wild. He even buys a tank for the lobster to keep him at home before making the 1,467 KM trip from Toronto to Saint John, New Brunswick. At the end of the video, the lobster is successfully released back to the ocean after a heartfelt goodbye. The completion of the trip truly showing his dedication to his craft. The video later gained attention from Right This Minute, a news show that features viral videos.

Alex Ketchum even goes as far as venturing to places where few others would be brave enough to go, like the worst motel in his city. In his video, Staying At the Worst Reviewed Motel in My City, Alex pays to stay at the Havanap Motel, which holds a two-star rating on Trip Advisor. Upon entering the dingy room, Alex is greeted by the stench of cigarettes, mold, an array of live wires sticking out of the walls, and many mysterious stains that were revealed by a UV light. Alex reviews the room by pointing out some of its worst features, such as a sink next to the bed, nicotine stains on the walls, and bedsheets that smelled of urine. Alex’s video highlights the worst kind of place that we all want to see, but would never visit ourselves.

When it comes to going the extra mile, Alex Ketchum always delivers. He’s always striving to surpass his latest success to keep his audience wanting more, and always knowing that they can rely on him to produce the most unique videos. Alex has never been afraid to take the next step to push his videos far beyond anyone’s expectations, and as a rising star in the Youtube world, Alex believes that standing out from the crowd is always number one. From memes to music videos, Alex Ketchum has it all, and many more great videos are yet to come.
