Jamshidabadi’s Melickastudio focuses on creating films that deliver a more profound message to viewers and spread awareness of relevant issues worldwide. Her work tackles topics from women’s rights to war, poverty, and hunger, and her outstanding potential has film critics excited for her future productions.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Melicka Jamshidabadi is no stranger to global concerns, including the continuous fight for women’s rights in her home country after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. She has been using her talents and popularity to shed light on important issues to make a difference in the world, especially in enhancing Iran’s women’s rights movements and inspiring others to join Iranians in the fight for freedom.

I feel very helpless being here in the US and not in Iran fighting alongside the brave women who are risking their lives for their basic human rights. The least I can do is to use my platform to be a voice for the people of my country and dream of the day that women in every country have the freedom and equality they deserve,” Jamshidabadi shares.

Melicka has become a prominent voice in Iranian’s fight for freedom from the regime. As one of the youngest Iranian award-winning filmmaker who writes, directs, records, and edits all her films herself, Melicka Jamshidabadi has much more in store for her and her advocacies. Those highly interested in supporting her efforts in promoting women’s rights and addressing other global issues through her content can visit her Instagram and Tiktok pages.

Her goal is to make full-feature films that are not only entertaining but also send a more profound message and spread awareness on global issues, starting with her recent short films that supported the women’s rights movement in Iran.
