Orbit CEO Monk’s Journey in the Trading World

Published on March 16, 2022

CEO of decentralized crypto trading platforms Andromeda and Orbit, Romain Prevost otherwise known as “Monk” is a multi-millionaire who took the market capitalization of his company from about $5000 to an incredible $20 million in just 5 days. Even though, not too long ago, Monk had lost his job in Berlin as a waiter and was deep in debt. So, what did Monk do to climb out of this? And how is he now helping people in the trading and crypto world?

After growing up in Berlin and going to boarding school in Switzerland, Monk finished his formal education in France. After getting his degree and moving back home, for a moment things seemed good, and then everything went downhill. COVID-19 arrived and set the world in chaos and panic. New restrictions were imposed and businesses started to close down. Monk, who was working as a waiter in Berlin, was among those who lost their jobs. To make matters worse, his girlfriend left him and he was drowning in a massive debt of 30,000 euros from 4 different banks.

Monk found himself at a stage where he could give it all up and fail, or stand up and continue. As we can imagine, he chose the latter. Monk decided to dive headfirst into the crypto industry where he started trading. It wasn’t long before success soon found him and things took a turn for the better. Monk had become a multi-millionaire and started his very own decentralized crypto trading platform known as Andromeda. He also founded his second company called Orbit which controls and operates Andromeda.

The idea of these companies is to provide people with a platform to trade in the most simple and efficient way possible, therefore encouraging more people to join. Orbit also offers a launchpad so people can invest in new projects while having access to their trading community. This will supercharge their position in the trading industry.

Even when someone works hard, the world can be a cruel place, just as Monk experienced it to be. Upon launching his company, they were hit by a targeted bot attack. This attack was made by Monk’s rivals and other people that simply wanted to make money. He had to solve this problem in a calm state of mind with a step-by-step process. The website was redesigned and the Andromeda coin was then reissued to all the followers.

Monk mentions that working in this field is not easy. The support from the government is essentially non-existent and that creates a major hurdle. Along with that, there are many that see crypto as a new technology, which makes them uneasy and hesitant to give up their traditional forms of current or trading. To make it all work is indeed a challenge. However, Monk mentions that you need to believe in yourself and not wait around for others’ approval or advice.

Monk’s goal is to take his business into the multi-billion dollar market. While that may sound steep, Monk’s previous challenges have proved his ability to overcome them and achieve his goals in no time.
