His film revolves around that and tells the story of a 12 –year-old girl’s struggle to continue her education in the face of severe poverty and adversity. Resul Pookutty, an India-based sound designer, sound editor, and mixer who won an Oscar for Best Sound Mixing for the smash hit Slumdog Millionaire, lent his talent as a sound designer to Kshitij. As a public figure with an international platform, Mr. Navroz Prasla is always mindful while navigating the social landscape, which requires a balancing act. Mr. Navroz prefers to make statements through films, he said, because art is more enduring and impactful than passing comments.” With this mindset, he founded NTV Houston, which was launched by Navroz Media Network Inc in 2017 with headquarters in Stafford, Texas. Aside from entertainment, NTV Houston also produces community interest coverage from their Stafford studio.
Over the past 17 years, the United States has lost one-fourth of its local newspapers – 2,100 publications, including 70 dailies and more than 2,000 weeklies. As a result, hundreds of communities – inner-city neighborhoods, suburban towns, and rural counties – are without reliable sources of local news and information. NTV-Houston, for the last five years, is striving to build social cohesion, encourage political participation, and improve community efficiency and their decision-making power with their creative and disciplined strategists and willingness to invest for the long-term to serve the information needs of our communities. NTV Houston’s agenda is always the debate and highlighting of important public policy issues, and that’s how they are managing to influence the course of history.
