Believe it or not, the American dream is still very much alive, and it doesn’t take for someone to be physically in the United States to be a part of it — Meet Pierre Subeh, a foreign national who resides in the Caribbean island of Curaçao, who is an extraordinary young leader in many ways. This 24-year-old entrepreneur is a pioneer in marketing, and he has just been named the ‘Young Leader of the Year’ by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences for The Anthem Awards for his leading efforts in leading a social impact initiative through his work in the marketing and business fields to advocate for inclusivity.

Pierre isn’t new to recognition. In fact, on December 1st, 2021, Forbes announced its annual list of 30 Under 30, which honors and recognizes the 30 change-makers reshaping the world and having influence in their respective fields. Pierre was the youngest listed in the Marketing category.

Digging into his latest award as the 2022 gold winner for ‘Young Leader of the Year’ by The Anthem Awards, he’s being recognized specifically for his work to transform the very commercial world of marketing into a unique approach he calls “Marketing for Good’ which takes the very basic principles of marketing which include persuasion techniques to decision-making strategies to push for social impact changes instead of selling a product.

His campaign first launched as a petition on Change.org on April 1st, 2021, titled “Asking The Federal Government to Recognize April as the ‘Arab American Heritage Month’” was followed by him pushing a social media ad to promote the petition, outreach to the media, and a daily letter to the White House throughout the entire month of April 2021. Which ultimately influenced and led to having the first-ever recognition by the White House under the Biden-Harris administration for the month of April as the National Arab American Heritage Month. His campaign was supported by the TIME 100 list maker and award-winning actress/model Indya Moore, who’s known for frequently supporting underrepresented voices. Moore was repeatedly seen protesting with her best friend, Bella Hadid, against causes she believed deserved more attention.

In a feature on GQ Middle East earlier in February of 2022, Pierre stated that his entrepreneurial passion has been within him for as long as he can possibly remember. He also shared his secret to leading any mission and accomplishing very ambitious dreams, stating the following: “I use a method called the sequential pyramid to reach goals. This consists of breaking down your ambitious ideas into small mini-goals that, once accomplished, lead to one another, eventually leading you to the peak, representing your ultimate big goal. Whenever I accomplish a milestone, I thank the people who supported me during the process. However, I’m still learning to thank myself for staying resilient and determined. Gratitude directed inwards can be a potent form of healing.”

Pierre Subeh is a business expert, author, and award-winning executive producer.
