Marketing to the Extreme | Jacob Mallow’s Story

From the young age of 15, Jacob Mallow was interested in the music industry. He started promoting at clubs around his hometown, New York City. He soon made a name for himself at clubs like Pacha, Webster Hall, Stage 48, Space Ibiza, and more.

Once he raised enough money and made enough connections, Mallow ventured to find an affordable venue in Connecticut called Tuxedo Junction. He facilitated paying for the space, a production team for equipment rentals, and managing multiple promotion teams managing to sell over eight hundred tickets for an event that would profit at six hundred tickets sold. He also was able to get reasonable prices on prominent EDM artists (one being SNAILS, a big name in the EDM industry with hundreds of thousands of followers) by contacting his tour manager and catering to the artists’ needs.

After this event, Mallow and his team were stoked. They were doing what they loved to do while making money. It was a life-changing moment where he realized that not all work had to be boring.

Over the next two years, Mallow hosted 5 more events in the northeast, building his brand “JDM Nights” (formed from his initials, which are derived from his name “Jacob Dylan Mallow”). He ended up grossing over $30,000 and decided to stop pursuing university.

Jacob studied marketing at university. He still had a knack for marketing that shows on his resume and later decided to do the dog sitting app “Rover” for extra money. Mallow managed to achieve over 20 reviews, a 5-star rating, and over 200 dogs watched in the span of ~11 months. He successfully branded himself and became the #1 sought-after dog sitter in the Financial District of New York City and Coral Gables, Florida. Mallow also worked part-time at a large notable IT company called Key Systems LLC.

In his final year at the University of Miami, Jacob decided to start his successful promotional endeavors again. However, a rebrand was necessary as his new company offers so many other services that he has acquired the skills over the years for. He is still using his initials, calling it “JDM Solutions“.

Mallow’s new company’s mission statement is to be the most opportune, compact, collaborative, and coherent brand-enhancing agency in the branding industry. “We want to be the one-stop-shop solution for the entire digital world, regardless of their walk throughout life.” This is Mallow’s true passion, and he’s excited to see it come to life once again!
