Tell us a bit about yourself
Atlanta-based, with a passion for portrait & food photography, likes to spend my time traveling. I was born in Venezuela and raised in Orlando, FL. My photography journey began in 2012 when I bought my first camera. What started as a hobby quickly developed into a great passion. I would travel to beautiful places, creating amazing memories but would find it difficult to capture the essence of those memories, and sometimes it was hard to tell the stories without a picture to show. I wanted the ability to recreate these experiences for others, the breathtaking views without missing any details.
What do you think makes you stand out from other photographers?
What sets me apart is I’m a versatile photographer. I can take photos of models, cars, and buildings and still be able to adapt quickly. I got to where I’m today by trial and error, learning from other photographers, taking a bit of each one, and implementing it into my own. I take online photography classes at least once a month. To expand the portfolio, one must be willing to try different techniques and step out of their comfort zone. I remember my first paid gig as a photographer. I went into the building the day before and used a stranger as a model to ensure everything would come out perfect. DMstudi0 began with the idea of making ordinary people into extraordinary people by capturing the essence they’ve never seen themselves.
What do you attribute your success to?
No matter what it is you pursue, obstacles are inevitable. I’ve always viewed these particular moments as the universe testing my will to succeed. Passion has been the vehicle that has gotten me through any momentary lapses in motivation, discipline, even in perseverance. For myself, I will never lose my passion for immortalizing memories through photography. When I capture a moment that is “a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone.”
Where do you want to take your photography career?
I would love to work with big model agencies and creating portfolios for Magazines such as Vogue, People, LifeStyle, GQ, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar.
