i-PRO, the global leader of advanced sensing technologies in the field of public safety, intelligent surveillance, and industrial/medical imaging, is pleased to announce that they will be holding an international design competition called Future Design Challenge with a theme of Averting Future Climate Crises Through the Power of Engineering.
The global design competition program was dedicated to offering opportunities for emerging futurists and problem solvers to win the respected award for innovative excellence. The competition also calls upon creative, young, and talented designers and engineers across the globe to present their thoughts, ideas, and fresh design.
As everyone moves into the future, the advancement of technology is vital for most aspects of people’s lives. However, it is possible that technology will create too much and have negative effects on one another’s life. The climate crisis is now a hot topic across the globe. The global average temperature increased by 1.09°C in 2011 – 2020 compared to the pre-industrial times. It’s also anticipated to increase by up to 5.7°C by the end of the century.
Concrete measures are being considered at different levels, and others are already being implemented. However, most of them are possibly connected to the use of eco-friendly materials. The creative team behind i-PRO believes that everyone can avert the climate crisis through the power of engineering.
That’s why Future Design Challenge calls upon young innovators and creative talent across the globe to solve potential concerns with them.
According to a representative from the organization, “When you hear the word future, everyone may look forward to it with the utmost optimism. Going forward is perceived as a good thing, but there will still be challenges in the future. People face different challenges each day, and it’s easy to think that the same challenges could exist in the future. The Future Design Challenge is an effort to resolve concerns about the power of design. That challenge is for innovative designers and students who wish to help make the technology of the future.”
This year’s Future Design Challenge is now open to the public and challenges entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and organizations to send their innovative design concepts that are relevant to the 2022 theme. Interested participants should provide their concept name and concept description along with sketches, photos, and design files that demonstrate their concept. Also, they should have a presentation that could be in the form of a presentation report or pitch video.
All the files should also be uploaded to a cloud folder. Participants may make edits after submission, but they should submit their concept again and mention that it’s an updated version. Also, there’s no limit to the number of submissions. They can submit as many concepts as they’d like.
