Information overload is one of the most common productivity deterrents that employees regularly face in an organization. From a flood of messages, and a swamp of background noise, to irrelevant subjective influences, the distractions that surround data before extracting value from information are insurmountable.
Slack is one of the most common communication channels that organizations use to connect top-to-bottom levels of management. While it’s an efficient tool, it also displays a void that’s often neglected: a mountain load of information that’s oftentimes irrelevant to employees. Keep in mind that data is not one-size-fits-all. The lack of system and organization in Slack, or any messaging platforms, hinders employees from getting to the root of the discussion, especially when searching for urgent, time-sensitive information.
For the longest time, this has been the norm in workspace communication that employees simply need to navigate. But as more advanced tools and cutting-edge technologies emerge, it’s clear that this is a gap that needs immediate attention.
TheGist, a startup that optimizes company data and information with AI-driven capabilities and cutting-edge technologies, introduces its newest product that aims to optimize information overload via generative AI.
How It All Started?
theGist Co-Founders Itay Dressler, Itzik Ben-Bassat, and Nir Zohar have seen the overload of information in every organization, and how that stops employees and businesses to achieve maximal efficiency. With AI and machine learning, their expert team can provide employees with data-driven value in workspace communication. “We want to announce the company with our first product and give people a glimpse of how easy and effective work data can be to consume when it’s short and personalized,” says Itay Dressler, Co-Founder and CTO.
Their mission is to get people the information they need, when they need it and generate better communication, process and identify operational risks across the organization. Simply put, the information comes to the employee, and not the other way around. “We give employees the shortcut to the main intent behind the vast amount of information in the company by filtering unnecessary noise and redundant messaging that often gets in the way,” says Nir Zohar, Co-Founder of TheGist.
How Does it Work?
theGist replaces curation with creation. Generative AI has enabled a new level of personalization by generating a personalized summary for the person reading the content. With just one click, an employee can the entire gist of a lengthy Slack conversation – a leap from hours of manually scanning a full thread to finding relevant information, documents, files, specific announcements, important dates, and urgent matters.
Currently, theGist is fully integrated into Slack. In the next couple of weeks, their team plans to release on different platforms to service a myriad of channels that are accessible to different organizations across the globe. Their product is set to be launched on Product Hunt on November 30th, 2022.
