Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – In a bid to equip HR professionals with the necessary skills to navigate the current global turmoil and retain top talent, a unique masterclass series titled “Learn from the Best” is set to take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Presented by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) in partnership with the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), this two-day event will offer attendees the opportunity to earn certificates, including professional development credits (PDCs) from both SHRM and IPA.

Scheduled to be held on June 7-8, 2023, at the VOCO Hotel in Riyadh, the series comprises eight masterclasses, featuring four programs per day. This groundbreaking initiative marks the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and underscores the importance of keeping HR professionals up-to-date on the latest industry practices, standards, and challenges amidst the current tumultuous state of society.

Renowned experts in the field of human resources will take the stage, delivering their content in an applied manner based on their own practical experiences. The masterclasses will adopt an interactive approach, with a focus on tangible learning outcomes, real-life success stories, and specialized topics.

Among the distinguished speakers, Abdulrahman Alsheail, Director-General of Human Resources at IPA and a member of the Certification Commission of SHRM, will conduct a masterclass on the second day of the series, addressing HR Transformation and Privatization in Saudi Arabia. Alsheail commends the unique applied program format and anticipates a significant impact on the HR industry in Saudi Arabia.

“The main objective and priority of this masterclass series,” Alsheail stated, “is to enlighten some of our very talented, accomplished industry experts here in Saudi Arabia about the latest and greatest HR strategies and challenges. In our line of work, it is crucial for us to connect and share our best practices with one another in order to move forward as an industry.”

In addition to Alsheail’s course, the masterclass series will cover a wide range of topics, including measuring the impact of ROI, creating inclusive workshops, technology and automation, and utilizing data for transformation. Participants can expect to gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest changes in HR and leave equipped with the tools and resources necessary to drive change and amplify their own impact.

Coinciding with the masterclass series, SHRM, one of the largest pioneers in the field of HR, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, while its esteemed Middle Eastern partner, IPA, commemorates its 62nd anniversary.

The “Learn from the Best” masterclass series is a testament to the commitment of SHRM, IPA, and HR professionals in Saudi Arabia to stay ahead of the curve and enhance their expertise. By fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, this event promises to elevate the HR industry in the kingdom, ultimately contributing to the success and growth of organizations across the nation.
