Many people around the world try to predict future events and technologies, but Futurist Dennis Fountaine is not only conceptualizing the future but also creating the technologies and products we will need and use in the next twenty years.

Fountaine foresees numerous new technologies that will meld our bodies, brains, and thoughts with AI software and hardware.

I met with Fountaine for a late lunch to discuss the future and the vision he has for it.

I was skeptical at first that anyone could be excited and optimistic about our future.

Let me first tell you that Dennis Fountaine is an inventor who has created and licensed or sold a variety of products, from the first Bluetooth wireless earpiece to pet products, kid’s toys, health care technology, beauty tech, and even ice cream desserts.

Fountaine is very humble about his creations and doesn’t reveal much about himself and his prior successes. Still, he does smile when he discusses his delight in seeing one of his products go from a thought to an actual product for sale on Amazon or a store shelf.

After some basic ‘getting to know you’re small talk and ordering our drinks and lunch, I asked him his thoughts on the future and what he would like to see transpire.

Impressively, his first revelation is that in the next twenty years, our life span will increase to at least 150 years—but not like today’s aging population and age-related diseases.

He’s been researching and developing concepts to slow and reverse cellular aging and prevent age-related diseases.

With the increase in our life spans and our slowed aging, Fountaine foresees a great expansion outward towards Mankind’s other frontiers: the Moon, Mars, and even Asteroids.

He already plans to start an Asteroid mining company to supply us with not only a new source of materials and minerals for existing and new products but also completely brand new, undiscovered elements that will be utilized for new technologies.

Fountaine is excited about the advancements we will make to fix and improve the human body and the integration of hardware and software to make us smarter, stronger, and more efficient as a species.

Of course, Fountaine is extremely concerned about our planet and environment and wants to help develop technologies to eliminate Global Warming and other environmental issues caused by humans.

Obviously, he feels that if we don’t have a hospitable planet to live on due to our selfishness and ignorance, we either have to fix what we’ve broken or go elsewhere with the hope that we can change and evolve as a species to the point where we finally understand that we are just the stewards of what we’ve been gifted, and like with any gift, we need to cherish and appreciate those gifts.

Fountaine has conducted a multi-year research project on prior extinctions and extension-level events (ELEs) and has concluded that our time on this planet is very short and that our time as a species is even shorter.

But, according to him, it’s never too late to make a change that will significantly resolve what we’ve broken.

Throughout our conversation, Fountaine always remained optimistic about our future, even though he has resigned himself to the fact that we may have to ‘press the reset button’ and start over as a species, whether a manmade reset or one created by Mother Nature.

Even though starting over would be incredibly devasting, Mother Nature has always been systematic and methodical about cleansing our planet so we may be along for the ride.

Fountaine is convinced that even though our time is short, we still have time to get our act together, evolve, and grow up.

With his planned advancements in human biology and aging, cleaning the environment, and advancing outwards into our cosmos, Dennis Fountaine will be one of our great inventors, making our future livable and sustainable.

Before meeting with Dennis, I was very pessimistic and scared about our future, but now, through my conversation with him, I now have hope and a sense of optimism for all of our futures’.

I’m now confident that with people like Dennis Fountaine, we can solve our problems and move forward together in a sustainable future.
