Iranian-born Salar Nouri grew up in the United Kingdom after his family immigrated for new opportunities. As he grew, his interests turned toward storytelling, cinema, writing, animation, and other creative pursuits. He attended University College London (UCL) with the intention of expanding his technical skills and general knowledge. He expended his skills at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) with a Text and Performance Master’s degree in 2018.

Even with such a strong foundation of CG animation and cinematographic education, Salar hungered for more. He took another long journey halfway around the world to Los Angeles, CA, and this was the place to be for aspiring professional animators and film producers.

Salar spent his time in the United States at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles. Among other inspirations, he was able to work with his professor, Michael Toshiyuki Uno. This respected director is well-known for TV series and movies, including Dawson’s Creek and A Private Affair. He was nominated for an Oscar for his 1982 short film The Silence.
