The Ferrinis: they are over forty in two, and their music is becoming more and more popular in the eyes of the big record labels and numerous fans.
The duo made up of the brothers Maicol and Mattia Ferrini, aka Ferrinis, reaped successes and acclaim.
Their songs overwhelm us with deep lyrics and stories from their young age. In our column dedicated to talents, Maicol tells us a little about their journey and some dreams to be realized.
Welcome to La Gazzetta dello Spettacolo at the Ferrinis. Maicol, tell us how you decided to create the group with Mattia.
We have always had a passion for music. Our parents love to sing, and we have karaoke at home.
Then, the lockdown, living in isolation, led us to decide to come up with lyrics and melodies and start this musical adventure by founding the Ferrinis group.
The song “Balla con la luna,” in addition to your debut, was a resounding success. Did you expect it?
Balla con la luna was born to entertain and give lightheartedness, given how much we have been living in the last two years. We then decided to launch it in June 2020, and it quickly became a success.
Surely, it is the song that will accompany us forever, made us known, and brought to the fore of the music scene.
Your songs have influences ranging from pop to dance and trap. Which of the two composes or writes?
From an early age, our parents got used to listening to a lot of music, and we grew up under many influences contaminated by sounds that belong to our generation.
In the single David Crockett, distributed by Sony, there is a western atmosphere, as well as in the video shot under the direction of Samuele Apperti. Texts and music are developed in synergy.
In the last two summers, you have launched two hit songs. What awaits us for the upcoming one?
Dance with the moon is from summer 2020, “Sale” from the past. The latter is a ballad always designed to entertain.
Here, our music has the purpose of letting go and having fun, especially in the warm summer evenings, where holidays and new acquaintances are accomplices, so it lets us go more, and indelible memories are created. We do not reveal anything. There will be a big surprise.
Last March, “I would die for you” was released, dedicated to …
To a love that has ended. The text was written in one go, and I wanted to impress the emotion of a finished love, to sing about what a beautiful story it was at our unforgettable age.
What are the next Ferrinis projects?
We are in constant ferment, both for the composition of new songs and much more. Considering, then, that we both work in the family business and are always very busy.
We have many projects in the pipeline, including that of creating a clothing brand linked to our path and certainly a lot of music to make you have fun and dance.
