In the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., recent statistics reveal that violent crimes have seen a nearly 50 percent reduction since the deployment of the National Guard and federal law enforcement in early August compared to the same timeframe in 2024. Furthermore, burglaries have dropped by 48 percent, while car thefts have decreased by 36 percent.
