DunderCon™ Is Officially the Largest ‘The Office’ Cast Reunion Convention and It’s Coming in August 2022

Published on July 11, 2022

Eight years have passed since The Office’s series finale, but on August 6–7, 2022, fans will be able to re-immerse themselves in the off-the-wall world of Dunder Mifflin when DunderCon™ arrives at The Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ.

The Biggest Office Convention and it’s still growing

DunderCon™, has been dubbed as “the largest interactive fandom experience,” it will feature over 60,000 square feet of “The Office” interactive attractions, including a 625-sq-foot inflatable walk-through replica of the Dunder Mifflin Building as well as a 500-sq-foot inflatable Poor Richards Themed Pub.

In addition, the event will include a free live musical performance on Saturday by former Grass Roots musician and Office cast member Creed Bratton. The convention has scheduled live Q & A panels with fan-submitted questions, live trivia contests, interactive photo booths, cosplay contests, themed food, and over fifty vendors selling merchandise and memorabilia. Both days of the event will end with a Live Dundies Award ceremony where the champions and best fans of the day will be awarded in true Michael Scott fashion.

“The Office Reunion” we all asked for is finally here

The most anticipated portion of the two-day event, however, will be the reunion of over twenty former cast members and behind-the-scenes personalities who made the show’s nine-year run possible.

Fan favorites such as Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone), Kate Flannery (Meredith Palmer), Oscar Nunez (Oscar Martinez), Andy Buckley (David Wallace), Leslie David Baker (Stanley Hudson), and many more celebrity guests will make appearances, take photos with fans, and sign autographs. There is even a Mystery Office Cast member that has everyone biting their nails.

Numerous guest stars, including Mike Starr, Linda Purl, Kelen Coleman, Jack Coleman, Lindsey Broad, Robert Shafer, Hidetoshi Imura, Wayne Wilderson, Calvin Tenner, Jackie Debatin, and Noel Petok, are also expected to attend.

As a special bonus, the YouTube sensation L.A. Beast will host a ‘Beach Games’-themed hot dog eating contest.

The Creators of DunderCon™

The two people responsible for DunderCon are its co-founders, Jesse Cohen and Arnold Cuervo.

Jersey native Jesse Cohen is involved in both the local and East Coast convention scenes. He also owns and runs the renowned New Jersey stores True Believers and Wize Guys Collectibles.

Arnold Cuervo is the creator of theofficefunkopops.com and has specialized in bulk autograph signings with nearly every notable cast member of the show, including Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, and many others. Arnold is a well-known and trusted member of the ‘The Office’ community and has developed personal relationships with several cast members over the years.

The co-founders recognized how enjoyable it was to meet the cast members in person, so they decided to offer this opportunity for an “Office Only” convention to help fans overcome being stuck at home due to COVID and immerse them in the middle of their favorite show.

Jesse and Arnold teamed up with Marianne Axon, a world-class celebrity event planner who has over twenty years of Event/Convention Planning experience and has been featured in several major news outlets.

An American Workplace

The Office is a mockumentary sitcom television series that follows the daily activities of office workers at the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company’s Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch. It aired on NBC for nine seasons, from March 24, 2005, to May 16, 2013. It was adapted for American television by Greg Daniels, a veteran writer for Saturday Night Live, King of the Hill, and The Simpsons, and was based on the 2001–2003 BBC series of the same name, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

The Office’s original main cast included Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, and B.J. Novak. There are a number of well-known actors who were not a part of the original main cast, including Amy Ryan, Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling, Craig Robinson, James Spader, Ellie Kemper, and Catherine Tate.
