Copenhagen Fashion Week Continues as Digital Edition for Fall/Winter 2021

Watch live from 2-4 February 2021

Published on January 10, 2021

As the upcoming fashion week in February 2021 approaches, Copenhagen Fashion Week, CIFF, Revolver, Dansk Fashion & Textile, and WEAR have been in ongoing close dialogue regarding the development of COVID-19. With the authorities’ latest announcements and prolonged Denmark restrictions, the group is now ready with a final status.

Due to the development of COVID-19 and recent restrictions, the upcoming edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week in February will take place as planned but will be run digitally. The two fashion fairs CIFF and Revolver, are canceled due to a ban on all trade fair activities until the end of February 2021.

Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week, announces: “Due to the current development of COVID-19, we have been forced to cancel all physical events this time, including the trade fairs. Copenhagen Fashion Week’s show schedule and talks program is still carried out, although virtually, via our digital universe at copenhagenfashionweek.com. Even though it is definitely unwished-for, it is undeniably the right thing to do. Instead, we look forward to being able to meet physically again for the August 2021 fashion week.”

This summer, Copenhagen Fashion Week launched a new hybrid format that made it possible for brands to be on the show schedule with both digital and physical formats – a flexible opportunity embracing new possibilities and respecting global responsibilities in light of COVID-19. With the recent development of the pandemic, this edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week will adopt a fully digital format to ensure the new restrictions are upheld while still allowing brands the opportunity to present their seasonal collections to Copenhagen Fashion Week’s international audience.

All shows and talks can be experienced from 2-4 February 2021 via Copenhagen Fashion Week’s new digital platform on CopenhagenFashionWeek.com, which will be launched on 14 January. The show schedule has already been published, and the talks program will be published in mid-January.

The industry organizations Dansk Fashion & Textile and WEAR under The Danish Chamber of Commerce as well as the trade fairs CIFF and Revolver support Copenhagen Fashion Week’s decision to run digitally.
