Bryce Parker: From Atlanta to LA Content Creator

Published on December 15, 2021

If you have the TikTok app, there is a good chance you are familiar with the viral dances, lip syncs, and trends that circle the app on a daily basis. What makes these trends so viral and recognizable? The young creators with millions of followers are to thank for that! We followed up with Bryce Parker, a TikTok content creator with millions of followers, as he is always doing his rendition of viral hits on our For You Page!

What made you first start posting on social media?

Growing up, I was always into the idea of having a following as I watched creators on Twitch, YouTube and Vine develop some large audiences. I grew up in a generation where developing a fanbase was easier than ever and I really wanted that to be me. Luckily with TikTok, there was finally a platform where I could easily get started and did not have to play catch up to established creators.

Do you remember the first time you went viral?

I actually remember this super well – was in class my Junior Year around the time Charli D’Amelio was blowing up and my friend told me to do a popular trend. They said, “trust me, try it”. I woke up the next day and it had over 1M views. That is when I realized that I had a chance to develop a following as my follower count went up over 20,000 in a single day.

What was it like moving from Atlanta to Los Angeles?

For me, the switch was not necessarily easy since I came from the other side of the country, but being in LA has opened me to so many new opportunities. In Atlanta, I could connect with people digitally, but definitely is not the same experience as living in LA where I can connect with other creators and brands in person on a regular basis which is super important for growth.

If you weren’t doing TikTok, what do you think you would be doing?

Growing up I always wanted to be a Twitch Streamer and sign to a gaming organization. That is still something I might explore doing if I can find a way to transition my audience over to another platform like Twitch.

What is the best part of being a digital creator?

Not to sound superficial, but the best part is totally the impact you can make on a person. Realizing how people want to take time out of their day to engage with my social media is insane. Fans are so excited when I respond back, it can literally make someone’s day. I read through my DM’s and people type out the impact I have on their life, that is special to me.

What is your favorite collab you’ve ever done?

Recently I did a collaboration with H&M where I visited one of their flagship stores to get styled, fitted, and gifted different outfits. I have always been a big fan of their brand so being able to work with them was awesome, especially since their brand team was so welcoming. Excited for the potential to keep working with them since I have a love for fashion and clothes.
