The Black Promoters Collective (BPC), the largest Black-owned live entertainment organization in the U.S., is enjoying a phenomenal first half of 2025, highlighted by sensational tours, industry recognition, and projections indicating a remarkable year-end revenue exceeding $100 million.

BPC’s crowning achievement so far has been the announcement of The Boy Is Mine Tour, a historic co-headlining venture featuring R&B icons Brandy and Monica. This 24-city arena tour, with special guests Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and American Idol winner Jamal Roberts, celebrates the 25th anniversary of the duo’s Grammy-winning hit. The excitement surrounding the tour has gone viral, receiving accolades from major publications; People called it “a full-circle moment for the culture,” while Pollstar touted it as “the most anticipated R&B tour of the year.” Revolt described the event as “an emotional and generational reset.”

BPC President Shelby Joyner remarked on the tour’s significance, stating, “We’re building a movement rooted in authenticity and excellence. The Boy Is Mine is the latest proof of how powerful our culture is when it’s centered, protected, and celebrated.”

The Boy Is Mine Tour caps off a year filled with remarkable events coordinated by BPC. In March, Jazz in the Gardens attracted more than 35,000 attendees, earning accolades as one of Newsweek’s “Top 10 U.S. Festivals” and Miami New Times’ “Best Music Festival of 2025.” Featuring artists such as Lauryn Hill, New Edition, Toni Braxton, and Busta Rhymes, the festival became a defining celebration of Black music and culture. This success has opened doors for BPC to expand into the festival sphere with the Hampton Jazz and Music Festival, in partnership with Hampton University and the Hampton Coliseum, featuring performers like Anthony Hamilton and SWV.

CEO Gary Guidry stated, “Our expansion into the festival space is a natural evolution of our mission to create unforgettable cultural experiences at scale. We’re building platforms that celebrate Black excellence and drive real economic impact.”

Earlier this year, BPC created a buzz nationwide with The Queens Tour, which united famous artists Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, and Chaka Khan, recognized by Essence as “a living archive of Black greatness.” The tour will resume its second leg on September 19 in Greensboro, NC.

In the hip-hop realm, BPC also produced a sold-out Hot 97 Summer Jam, featuring surprise performances from artists like Meek Mill and headline sets from GloRilla, Gunna, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. In a tribute to hip-hop’s heritage, BPC partnered with LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Festival, showcasing both legendary artists and contemporary stars, including the much-anticipated reunion of Uptown Records artists.

BPC emphasizes authentic storytelling, transforming concerts and festivals into meaningful cultural experiences that resonate with the communities they serve. Their approach showcases how centering culture leads to sold-out shows and sincere fan engagement, proving that cultural authenticity is a catalyst for success.

Troy Brown, CMO of BPC, elaborated on the company’s success: “Our marketing approach is rooted in precision and purpose. When campaigns center on cultural authenticity, they not only drive ticket sales but also foster brand affinity and measurable community impact.”

Additional highlights this year include the sold-out Millennium Tour featuring Bow Wow, Trey Songz, and Omarion, along with the October Nights: Calling All Lovers tour featuring October London, Tamar Braxton, and Ro James.

BPC has made significant strides in industry influence as well, ranking #39 on Pollstar’s Global Top 100 Promoters list, the only wholly Black-owned promoter included. Billboard continues to recognize BPC on both its R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players and Live Music Power Players lists, with CEO Gary Guidry being celebrated as one of the top executives shaping the live music landscape.

With a diverse team that mirrors the community it serves, BPC is reshaping the concert experience through events that promote unity, legacy, and impact. With more major announcements anticipated, the Black Promoters Collective is on track to make 2025 its most impactful year to date.
