Teen pop star Alexander James Rodriguez is filling our news feed with another sunshine story. Just in time for the 4th of July weekend, the teenager has launched his limited-edition summer clothing line, ‘California’ to support No Kid Hungry, an organization committed to ending childhood hunger in the U.S, and these garments are the positive ray of sunshine we need for cool beach nights.
The actor and singer-songwriter, who just celebrated his 14th birthday, released his summer State of California anthem, ‘California’ in May to celebrate the re-opening of the State of California, and has now added the merchandise fundraising component to the already sizzling song in hopes to raise both awareness and the much-needed funds for kids less fortunate within California.
“To support kids in California who need our help with basic food needs this summer, I have created a limited-edition California long sleeve T-shirt and cropped hoodie. I am just a kid myself, but I strongly believe that no child should go hungry, we should be outside having fun with full bellies this summer. Climbing trees and scraping our knees. I am giving back to No Kid Hungry with every purchase, because together we truly can make a difference.”
In a recent interview, Alexander explained the limited edition ‘California’ summer long sleeve shirt and cropped hoodie are available to purchase exclusively on his website, iamajrodriguez.com/shop.
If feeling good about your purchase for No Kid Hungry wasn’t enough, Alexander is also offering a 10% discount off first orders – to really get you motivated to buy and support his campaign.
Utilizing his music to raise money for children in need is something very normal for the teenager. We read that last November, the then 13-year-old Alexander, released his song ‘Holiday in L.A’ to support UNICEF, the world’s largest children’s humanitarian organization. He managed to raise vital funds for children worldwide with his upbeat and exciting Christmas record.
At The Ritz Herald, we love Alexander’s high energy song ‘California’, which is out now on all digital streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, Tidal, and DEEZER.
