As a sizzling-hot social media star, Hollywood actor and producer Enzo Zelocchi is no stranger to posting scroll-stopping selfies on Instagram. However, have you noticed how much he looks like a certain iconic literary action character?
We’re talking of course about James Bond, and there’s plenty to justify the comparison to a character that is thrillingly yet to be recast. Read on to learn more about how Zelocchi has come to represent a real-life version of this iconic man of mystery.

There aren’t many guys who would look completely at home dressed in a crisp white suit, accompanied by a beautiful woman and racing across the idyllic Italian Lake Como in a speedboat—but Enzo Zelocchi isn’t any guy. As it turns out, this level of adrenaline-infused glamour is something of a signature for the actor, who is known equally for his style sense and striking physicality.
Without a doubt, Daniel Craig did a stellar job of bringing James Bond to life over the years since his first turn in the role in 2006. However, the blonde Brit’s casting came as a departure from the 007 look that James Bond creator and author Ian Fleming originally described for the franchise, shocking many fans at the time.
Like prior Bond actors Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan, Zelocchi comes much closer to Fleming’s vision for the character. In the books, 007 is around 6ft tall and has a slim build, tanned skin, and short, jet-black hair. Although, it’s worth highlighting that Craig’s version has stayed true to Bond’s original sense of style.
In Fleming’s novels and throughout the movie franchise, Bond has showcased a consistent look with stylish but practical suits in tasteful shades such as navy blue and black. Meanwhile, as something of a fashion influencer, Zelocchi has also long demonstrated his love for elegantly tailored suits and sophisticated outfit color palettes complemented with classic Italian leather accessories.

Built Like Bond, Inside and Out
That brings us to another important question: could Zelocchi give his Bond predecessor a run for his money on the beach? Craig’s scandalously undressed emergence from the water in his first Bond film, Casino Royale caused quite a stir, but you’ll probably agree, Zelocchi looks just as good in a pair of form-fitted trunks.
As for the seductive settings of Bond’s escapades, many are familiar to Zelocchi including the aforementioned Lake Como. Nestled in undulating Northern Italy, Como is not only a stone’s throw away from the haunts of Zelocchi’s youth in Milan, but is also where some of the most glittering scenes from Casino Royale were shot and where Craig’s 007 first uttered the words “Bond, James Bond.”
While franchise producer Barbara Brocolli still hasn’t announced a selection to replace Craig, Zelocchi’s name has been mentioned as a possible candidate but competition remains fierce. From Cary Grant to Ewan McGregor, just as many stars have narrowly missed the role as those that secured it—although that doesn’t stop us rooting for a ready-made real-world Bond.
