A WonderPlanet Singaporean Subsidiary Partners With Game Charger to Develop Global Web3 Games

WonderPlanet, a renowned entertainment service in Japan, announces its subsidiary WPBC Pte. Ltd. has finally signed an agreement with Game Changer Pte. Ltd., a Singaporean Web3 game platform business. The said basic agreement is for the global collaboration on Web3 games development.

Game Changer has an upcoming Web3 games platform that uses Game Changer Token (GC Token, $GC) as a utility token. This allows users to use GC Tokens when obtaining NFTs to play Web3 games on the GC platform. Users can also earn GC Tokens by playing, which allows for both a Free-to-Play and Play-and-Earn gaming experience.

In the near future, Game Changer plans to list GC Tokens on the global scene.

Game Changer will provide WPBC a GC Tokens allocation. WPBC will be the first to partner with the Singaporean game developer to release the Web3 game on the platform. The WonderPlanet subsidiary serves as a critical partner of Game Changer and will also contribute to the GC Token ecosystem expansion.

The basic agreement signing of the two companies is believed to deepen the partnership for Web3 games’ future development. This also strengthens the anticipated Web3 services launching.

Web3 games, also referred to as NFT games, play-to-own games, or play-to-earn games, are digital games that use blockchain technology as part of the game’s economy’s underlying component.

These games have assets owned by players in the form of NFTs. They also enable players to have an engagement in the games in decentralized and innovative ways. Since players can play to earn through NFTs and cryptocurrencies, all gaming aspects are decentralized. Players have the main power in their hands rather than confining it into a single central game authority.

As with the centralized gaming servers, any game-related data is stored on servers. This means game administrators have complete control over the game-related information. To prevent hacking and digital assets theft, fraud, and loss, web3 gaming introduced innovative techniques, like decentralized gaming ecosystems, metaverse gaming, crypto-secure gaming wallets, and blockchain-based game asset ownership.

A few months ago, WonderPlanet, led by CEO and Founder Tomoki Tsunekawa, announced that its Board of Directors had successfully resolved a meeting to build a subsidiary company, WPBC Pte. Ltd., in Singapore. The purpose behind this subsidiary establishment is to get engaged in blockchain game-related business.

WonderPlanet understands the Web3 trend’s rapid progress and the spread of blockchain technology use. This makes the Japan-based entertainment service company expand from its previous market domain to enter a new market, including Metaverse, GameFi, and NFT.

According to WonderPlanet, they have been discussing and studying business areas in those new market areas, other company collaborations, and their own effort. After conducting a series of surveys and studies, the company has recognized the high market growth potential in those areas.

Particularly, these businesses’ penetration among general consumers in the global markets continuously grows compared to the Japanese market.

WonderPlanet and its partners developed smartphone games published overseas as their pillar of business. In addition to that, the know-how and system for publishing those games are one of their strengths.

To leverage that strength and promote different business development forms centered on overseas blockchain games business publishing, the company finally decided to build its wholly owned subsidiary, and it was WPBC Pte. Ltd. Singapore. The company’s base location picked WPBC due to its favorable overseas business environment for blockchain games distribution.

WonderPlanet aims to promote the overseas publishing system development for completely entering a business focusing on that subsidiary. The company also considers building a cooperative framework with business alliances, including investments with blockchain-related companies and game developers.

WonderPlanet’s efforts to build a subsidiary are now paying off; WPBC has signed an agreement to enter the Web3 game development in a bigger market.
