An official delegation made an official visit to the headquarters of the Latin American Parliament on the 4th of February. The Latin American Parliament is an intergovernmental organization that includes the parliaments of 23 Latin American and Caribbean countries. His Excellency Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt led the delegation which included the honorable Cristina Reyes, former President of the Andean Parliament, and Ms. Maria Belen Paz Soldan, chief of staff of Ambassador von Feigenblatt. The delegation was welcomed by His Excellency Elías A. Castillo G, Executive Secretary of the Latin American Parliament. After a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities of the intergovernmental organization’s headquarters, the delegation discussed several specific projects with the Executive Secretary.
The House of Feigenblatt, with a mission to promote education and research, explored several avenues of cooperation to provide support in terms of research expertise and to serve as a nexus between regional and extra regional universities and national academies and the Latin American Parliament. On interesting project is to support the development of the Latin American Parliament’s growing library. The Latin American Parliament plays a pivotal role bringing together the legislatures of the region to draft model laws to serve as a clearing house for regional efforts in a range of issues.
The House of Feigenblatt is headed by His Excellency Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt, Andean Parliament Special Envoy for Education, one of the leading experts in educational leadership. Members of the House of Feigenblatt include former heads of state, prominent academics, and leading practitioners.
