Joy R. Richardson Takes the Modeling Scene by Storm

Published on February 27, 2021

Meet Joy R. Richardson, an up-and-coming model that is blooming through social media. Joy was born August 13, 1998, in a small town in South Carolina known as Summerville. Joy states that his passion for modeling derives from his ability to tap into feminine energies. “It is common for many guys to act manly and too righteous to take pictures in the way that they want to take them. When I think of modeling, I, of course, pay homage to both male and female models and actors, but the first thing that comes to mind is how powerful women are when it comes to making modeling one of the loveliest arts”. He states that he wants to show other males around him that love for these things does not define sexuality in any way. On his rise onto the modeling scene, he stated that he began posting pictures of himself and went through many social media obstacles with people he thought were his friends. Some even went as far as calling him gay because he decided to take glamorous pictures where he wore a rose flower crown. Joy stated that he believes men will never reach the next level in life without tapping into their feminine energies. Joy states that he wants to spend a career highlighting that art has no gender, and people should highlight what they personally love through their art without persecution and negative judgment.

Joy will begin school at the New York film academy of Los Angeles this upcoming august. He has one child named after an outstanding song by one of his favorite artists of our time, Frank Ocean. His daughter Ivy Lynne Mafnas-Richardson is his biggest inspiration, and Joy plans on making that clear as he pursues his career passions. He believes that the most rewarding part of modeling can bring to life the ideas that He has tucked away inside his head. “It’s almost as if every shoot I finish becomes a new part of me that I hold dear to my heart.” A memorable moment for him was about to bring to life his favorite movie of all time, “Kill Bill,” and put his own personal twist on it through his modeling.

Through everything Joy has gone through in the past and will go through in the future, he wants to clarify to the masses that many mental battles are overcome simply within oneself. In the future, he states that he plans to do work that is heavy on mental health positivity through his modeling and acting. Joy made it clear that he wanted his audience to know that he is a prior military man who never gave up on his original passions for the arts. However, he had his mental battles while in the service; his persistence to his true passions led him to today.
