LINC, The Learning Innovation Catalyst (LINC) released a Remote Learning Readiness Assessment and Professional Development and Communications Planning Template in support of schools considering a transition to remote teaching during the COVID-19 outbreak. LINC is supporting leaders and educators in making this shift as successful as possible, keeping students engaged and learning.
The LINC team brings a wealth of expertise in blended and remote learning and educational innovation. LINC co-founders Jason Green and Tiffany Wycoff are co-authors of the best selling book Blended Learning in Action. LINC’s coaches are all experienced educators who support teachers in shifting their practices toward more equitable and innovative student-centered learning.
LINC is experiencing incredible demand for its expertise. In the last week, LINC has engaged with more than 3200 educators across two leading Connecticut school districts, supporting their transition to remote learning. Through LINC’s virtual coaching and online learning, educators are preparing to create and deliver remote lessons and to leverage key tools such as Google Classroom. LINC offers a range of free tools and resources on its website to support educators.
“We needed to get our principals and teachers ready for remote learning quickly. LINC rapidly created a plan with our district and this week we are training our teachers so students can continue learning in the midst of our current situation,” said Michael Conner, Superintendent of Middletown Public Schools.
