However, as we progressed and our designs became increasingly complex, we realized that a 2D environment, whether in drawings or renders, could not fully capture the synergy and interaction of these parametric shapes, allowing the client to visualize and experience them on the same level as we do.”

By developing an Android app for the Meta Quest 3 headset, they enable clients to virtually explore their staircases within a fully immersive environment. When a new stair needs to fit into an existing space, Hillside Contracting employs the Trimble X7 laser scanner to capture the environment in precise detail. This data is then adapted into a workable model, allowing for seamless integration of the new stair design.
