The highly anticipated 2024 Lookbook of British designer Daniel Fletcher was launched by Royal Ascot at The Lana – Dorchester Collection in Dubai, UAE ahead of the Dubai World Cup. Fletcher, who has previously worked with A-list clients like Harry Styles and Joe Jonas, is the first Creative Director in Royal Ascot’s 300-year history. He has also made a name for himself by starring in the Netflix show ‘Next in Fashion’.
‘Super excited’ to be in Dubai, Fletcher said: “It’s quite surreal how quickly it’s all come around from joining the Ascot team to releasing it to everyone in Dubai. It feels really special. Having physical copies of the Lookbook in front of people and getting their reaction to it has been really nice. Working with Ascot, they’ve been so receptive to all the ideas I came up with and we’ve managed to produce something I’m very proud of.”
Felicity Barnard, Deputy CEO, and Commercial Director of Ascot Racecourse, recently visited Dubai to celebrate the success of the World Cup and explore ways to improve the experience of Middle Eastern guests who plan to attend the Royal Ascot event between June 18th and June 22nd. She said:
“As a global lifestyle brand, we’ve been on a journey with our fashion over the last few years. We chose Daniel very specifically because he is an absolute genius. He’s such a talent. His own collection is fantastic. But also he focuses really on allowing people to dress how they feel most comfortable, whatever that’s in.”
This year’s Lookbook consists of five consolidated edits that showcase a range of looks suitable for all enclosure dress codes, from the Royal Enclosure to the Windsor Enclosure where no specific dress rules are applied. Although the official Royal Ascot Dress Code remains unchanged, the Lookbook’s new direction aims to inspire a range of summer dressing occasions to attract audiences to immerse themselves in the magical world of style.
