Sarah S.A.S, in an interview, explained that at the age of four, she would record voice memos of herself singing pop songs such as on her family’s MacBook in her bedroom. She began learning piano at three years old and guitar in her early teens. She enjoyed taking part in choir and frequently playing instruments in assemblies. Sarah S.A.S began uploading singing, piano, and dance covers onto YouTube and social media networks in 2011, reaching over 2 million views. She began writing songs aged 14 and released her first demo on Instagram aged 13. She also started performing in clubs and live music bars and venues, playing piano and singing, aged 13 in London.
