We can officially confirm the news that the dark comedic series F.I.N.E has been greenlit. The news comes after multiple hints from different actors, namely Amy Letcher and Lilly Dennis, who will star side by side in the series. The pair, having worked together previously, have quickly become a popular duo. Being likened to ‘an even quirkier version’ of Amy Pohler and Tina Fey. Letcher hails from South Africa, where she grew up before taking the industry by storm, and Dennis comes all the way from Tasmania, currently making headlines in both Hollywood and Broadway.
The pair both confirmed the announcement on their Instagram stories this week, stating, “We can’t wait to dive into this one!” The series will be produced by the independent and award-winning production company Black Horse Productions. The series will follow two young women who meet, in unlikely circumstances, at an addict’s anonymous group, both realizing neither of them fit in and developing a kinship with each other. Abbie (played by Dennis) and Belle (played by Letcher) both struggle with their own odd addiction. The pair end up moving in together, and all kinds of disasters ensue from the duo now integrating their lives and the problems that accompany them.
The comedic actors both recently attended an event where they were asked about the project, “We have been sworn to secrecy on this project for so long, we are just glad the secret is out of the bag! We are both so excited to work together again, and even more excited to work with such an extraordinary cast.” While no other cast members have been officially confirmed, it has been rumored that there are already some Emmy award-winning legends lined up to guest-star.
While not much has been released officially about the project, we will keep you updated as more announcements are made!
