Hassan Ibrahim is Yet Another Example of the Synergy Between Hollywood and Ex-Football Players

Is Hollywood the best retirement option for football stars?

Because so many former football players have found success as actors, the general public may believe that Hollywood is the logical next step for a football star.

It’s safe to say that Dwayne Johnson is a household name. Although he had a successful football career, it was overshadowed by his WWE role as “The Rock.”

Little is known about the well-known wrestler’s time at Miami, where he played college football. Despite Dwayne’s success in Hollywood, he wasn’t the first football player to do so. Before and after him, there were others.

Another football athlete turned Hollywood actor.

This must have been true for Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why” actor Hassan Ibrahim, who is now juggling his acting and football careers.

He auditioned for the Peter Nowalk-created drama “How to Get Away with Murder” in 2016.

This was the beginning of his acting career. Despite the fact that he did not get the job he applied for, he was given another opportunity to work as Alfred Enoch’s replacement.

What does it take to be a Hollywood star?

For Hassan, juggling a career as an actor and an XFL football player was a breeze. What weighed him down professionally was juggling his mother’s illness while trying to build his profile.

Hassan admits that things were never easy. His mother passed away in 2021. It broke his heart.

However, an athlete’s perseverance is an attribute that translates well in Hollywood. Ibrahim’s sporting acumen helped him move forward to achieve his goals.

“I stay mentally strong no matter what,” Hassan says. His confidence has led to incredible success in Hollywood, and it seems he is on a path that many famous Hollywood actors have followed. “I always pray and leave everything up to God after giving it my all and knowing I tried my hardest,” said Ibrahim.
