NFTs are revolutionizing how we trade assets. In its quest for decentralization, this application of blockchain allows creators worldwide to find new channels to relate to their audiences and customers, giving them more independence and freedom to capitalize on their ideas. We still don’t know exactly how this technology will evolve, but it has the potential to change almost every industry.

Even though MMA is the fastest-growing sport in the world, its athletes are not always treated fairly. Whereas other sports pay their stars around 50% of the earnings, MMA fighters don’t usually get more than 20%. Fans who know this aren’t thrilled with it, as they would like their money to support their favorite champions. To solve this issue and create a variety of benefits for its buyers, crypto entrepreneur and digital artist Mike Hales and his co-founders from the MMA scene created Lean Chad Fight Club. The project is backed by De Hub, a blockchain lifestyle and entertainment hub, and will release a collection of 11,111 artworks that are in the minting phase in OpenSea, the world’s biggest NFT marketplace.

Beyond the collectible digital art, the Lean Chad Fight Club team, which includes Bellator’s Kane Mouth and UFC’s Lerone Murphy, is looking to create a network of athletes and MMA fans. With extensive insight into the MMA world, the Lean Chad organization has been designing an array of benefits for its future members. Among the perks of owning one of the tokens will be access to fights and sports events worldwide, affiliated gyms, and other exclusive member-only experiences. Using its resources and the customizable features of blockchain, Lean Chad Fight Club will allow fans to directly help athletes finance their training and other aspects of their careers. The venture will also establish educational centers at gyms where people can learn about blockchain technology and develop the skills to use it properly.

The partnership with DeHub gives Lean Chad Fight Club the support of a dynamic team of entertainment innovators who are using blockchain to fund film and gaming projects. One such project is The Way of The Warrior, a compelling documentary that tells the inspiring stories of underground fighters from around the world. The company has also secured the license to stream the world’s most extensive library of combat sports content in their d’app.

Together, Lean Chad Fight Club and DeHub are planning to organize a series of fight nights that will be exclusively available to stream on their platforms. NFT owners will be able to watch these events for free. All athletes will be paid fairly. Additionally, DeHub is developing VR and blockchain technology to create a three-dimensional viewing experience. The audience will be able to interact with the event by voting and weighing in on the decision of the contest. The NFT can also be used to play an online game that DeHub is currently building.

Projects like Lean Chad Fight Club are a prime example of how NFTs can be used to foster a better connection between athletes and their fans. Ideas of this kind have the potential to inspire change and reshape the economy to promote fair trade.
