Used Computer Store Beats OEMs to Market With Windows 11

In an exciting tech twist, internet retailer DiscountElectronics.com beats most major OEMs to market with Windows 11 Laptops and Desktops. What’s even stranger about this story is that the company only sells used computer equipment.

So how did used Windows 11 machines hit the street before the new stuff? Many recently produced computers were already Windows 11 compatible. As of April 1st, Microsoft made Windows 11 licenses available to MARs [Microsoft Authorized Refurbishers] to load existing refurbished PCs with the new OS.

Discount Electronics had over 40 models of laptops available with Windows 11 and 20 desktops and All-In-One Computers. One caveat is an additional charge for Windows 11 at DiscountElectronics.com. Windows 11 Home is $30 extra, and Windows 11 Pro will set you back $60. Even with the additional fees, the savings is pretty remarkable.

Discount Electronics is located in Austin, Texas, and has been selling refurbished Dell Laptops and Desktops since 1997. They have won numerous awards and have been on the Inc 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America seven times. CEO Rick Culleton was unavailable for comment.
