1SEC finally introduces Adera, the first AI-powered virtual human in Japan. The virtual human is equipped with ONE AI, enabling a popular apparel brand operated by B STONE Co., Ltd. known as Ameri VINTAGE to provide interactive conversations.

Customer Value Maximization and Work Optimization in the Fashion Industry

The introduction of Adera, the virtual human, employed by Ameri VINTAGE, hopes for maximized customer value and optimized work in the fashion industry. ONE AI is found inside the virtual human and an AI platform that allows face-to-face conversations through physical real-time graphics integration with AI for various functions, including specialized conversations, video recognition, and speech recognition.

People can chat with the AI-powered virtual human, whether they want to ask trivial questions about their interests or search for specialist advice according to fashion knowledge. In return, the existing personnel’s work optimization is expected, mainly that Adera is efficient at handling everything related to product introductions and frequently asked questions.

The introduction of the AI-powered virtual human is also aimed at maximizing the customer experience within the medium term. That goal is possible through collecting information about the customer’s body, recommending fashion items according to the statistical perspective, and styling the customers that suit them.

Ameri VINTAGE CEO Naoko Kuroishi says, “I decided to employ Adera as AMERI’s virtual human as a new endeavor to encourage people to visit shops, as store traffic has slowed amid the coronavirus pandemic, while also injecting new life into the apparel industry, which is suffering due to the pandemic.

The existing virtual humans are only present and seen on different social networking platforms like Instagram. However, Kuroishi still hopes that Japan’s first virtual human-powered AI is soon be recognized as a virtual human that customers can meet and talk with when visiting the Ameri VINTAGE.

The popular apparel brand’s CEO also hopes that Adera will have supporters in the future, allowing the brand to bring in new customers who used to be not interested in its products. The brand has been promoting and producing fashion styles that combine the latest trends with vintage items according to the “NO RULES FOR FASHION” concept.
