Omani producer Mohamed Al Saadi said that Mena Massoud, a Hollywood actor of Egyptian origins, is one of Hollywood’s most prominent rising talents. A great future awaits Massoud after Aladdin’s overwhelming success, despite the COVID-19 pandemic putting a stop to several upcoming productions.
Mohamed Al Saadi indicated a remarkable resemblance between Mena Massoud and the late Andalib singer Abdel Halim Hafez, suggesting an idea of a long-overdue international production.
The producer explained that the work embodying Abdel Halim Hafez’s life would be titled Nightingale and show singer’s early stages of life – attacking and insulting people before becoming one of the most influential international singers.
Mohamed Al-Saadi had expressed his warm welcome to Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to make a film that tells the story of his life and past struggles before becoming an international megastar. Mohamed Al-Saadi indicated the willingness to produce this film for Muhammad Salah immediately after the artist’s retirement, culminating his career. After his involvement with Club Egypt, Salah played at Rome’s biggest clubs in Italy, Chelsea, and Liverpool in England.
Mohamed Al-Saadi explained that Mohamed Salah’s request states that the singer has no intention of making just another average Egyptian, or Arab, film based on his life. And instead, he wishes to produce a Hollywood-scale biopic involving an international cast, including Oscar-winner Ramy Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody). Al-Saadi seeks to make Mohamed Salah’s biopic titled AlSaher – a magician’s name channeling “Egypt’s Pharaoh” of music, Mohamed Salah.
